Vintage art glass chandelier Sputnik by Fontana Arte made in Italy in the 1970s.
Fontana Arte was founded in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Gio Ponti. Luigi Fontana came from a family with a long history in the glass industry, and Gio Ponti was an architect and designer. Together, they aimed to blend traditional Italian craftsmanship with modern design principles. Fontana Arte is known for its innovative and forward-thinking design approach. Their creations often feature clean lines, geometric shapes, and a focus on functionality, making them emblematic of mid-century modern design.
Crafted using the unique "serrated" (or "scapellato" in Italian) glass-cutting technique, this chandelier features an array of meticulously hand-cut and hand-chipped glass rhombuses, artfully arranged in a spherical formation.
The lamp is in good vintage condition. The metal has a natural patina. Wiring is changed by professional electrician.

Can you ship faster?
Yes! We can ship with DHL Express or FedEx First Priority, which usually delivers within 2-4 days. Please contact us for a shipping cost quote.
Will I have to pay customs fees?
No customs fees within the EU.
Outside the EU, import charges may apply, typically 11–25%, depending on your country.
How is my order packed and insured?
Every piece is hand-packed in a custom-made wooden crate with double-layer protection, and fully insured for its full value during transit.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
Contact us right away with photos of the item and packaging. Since every shipment is insured, we'll open a claim with the courier on your behalf.
